Common questions
Pricing, Straight Up
What does the $65 off your first service cover?
It's a straight discount off the first job we do for you, whether that's a small tap repair or a bigger emergency callout. It applies to any of the seven services we run, no fine print excluding certain jobs.
How does your upfront fixed pricing work?
A plumber assesses the problem on site first, before any repair starts. You get one number, agreed and approved by you, and that's what appears on the invoice, nothing added afterwards for time or materials.
Does the price change once you start?
Only if the scope genuinely changes, say a repair turns out to be a full replacement once we're inside the wall. Even then, we stop and reprice it with you before continuing, rather than surprise you at the end.
Do you charge a call-out fee?
No. $0 call-out means having a plumber assess your problem costs nothing, whether or not you decide to go ahead with the repair afterwards.
Common questions
Licensing, Insurance and Responsibility
What is your lifetime labour warranty?
Every job we complete is backed by a lifetime labour warranty on the workmanship. If something we did fails down the track, we come back and put it right at no extra cost.
Who is responsible for a blocked sewer, me or Sydney Water?
It depends where the blockage sits. Everything from your house to the point of connection is your responsibility; the main line beyond that belongs to Sydney Water. Once we locate the exact spot, you'll know whose repair it is before you're committed to anything.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. NSW plumbing licence #465156C covers our team, and we carry full insurance on every job. You can check the licence yourself at verify.licence.nsw.gov.au.
Can you check my licence number?
You don't need to take our word for it. Lic #465156C is searchable on the NSW government's own licence check tool any time you'd like to look it up.
Common questions
When We Can Come
What counts as a plumbing emergency?
Water where it shouldn't be, no hot water at all, a blocked drain backing up into more than one fixture, or any smell of gas. A single dripping tap or a slow drain usually isn't, and can wait for a normal booking.
Do you work weekends and public holidays?
Saturdays, Sundays, Christmas Day, it makes no difference to how quickly we respond. Plumbing faults don't take holidays, so we don't either.
How fast can you get here?
It depends on the job and the time you call, but a genuine emergency is treated as exactly that. We won't quote a number of minutes, because we'd rather tell you the truth than a figure that sounds good on a website.
What happens after I call?
A real person answers, listens to what's happened, and books a plumber in. On arrival, the job's assessed, explained, and priced before anything's touched. Once you approve it, the work happens.
Common questions
Local to Lidcombe
How local are you, really?
Lidcombe is home turf, and Auburn, Berala, Sefton, Wentworthville and Newington are all part of the regular working week, not occasional trips out. A plumber's usually already working somewhere close by.
Why do Lidcombe's older homes get plumbing emergencies?
A lot of the housing around the original John and Joseph Street town centre predates 1960, and that means original galvanised water pipe and ageing storage hot water units are common. Both eventually fail without much warning.
Do you cover the suburbs next to Lidcombe?
Yes, Auburn, Berala, Sefton, Wentworthville and Newington are all on our regular run alongside Lidcombe itself. Same team, same pricing, wherever on that list you're calling from.
Do you take on local new builds and renovation work?
We do. Newer apartment stock near the station brings its own plumbing questions, mostly around shared systems and strata responsibility, and we handle that alongside the older-home jobs just as regularly.
